For years, I lived with him as roommates. Then, one fateful night, things changed. We became more. So much more. The sex was out of this world. Being his boy was the highlight of my day. Until feelings started to creep in and sex wasn’t enough for me. Afraid of losing him, I kept quiet and hoped for a miracle… Could my Daddy love me, too? Or would I continue to be his boy… his play toy?
Wow. This story was intense in all the right ways and I didn’t want to put it down. Author Bink Cummings dives all in, no holds barred, and she’s crafted a brilliantly written M/M romance.
Asher was young, insecure, geeky, cheeky and shy, whereas Justin was possessive, bold, bossy and strong, yet sweet in his own way, especially when it comes to Asher. The story is told from alternating points of view and done in such a well-rounded way that it almost seems as if you’re there firsthand. These two simply belong together and it’s easy to believe their story. There is little to no angst, and the reader can focus on enjoying the romantic journey of their love story.
The sexual chemistry between Asher and Justin was explosive and their sex scenes smoldered. Their friendship was endearing and affection for one another was sweet. When these two realize their true feelings for one another, it’s magic. Justin supports Asher through the emotional rollercoaster he rides as he fully accepts that Justin’s love for him is real. And when Justin decides to take charge of planning out the next chapter of their life together? Swoon-worthy, steamy and…well, sweet, in Justin’s special way. The epilogue also promises a special twist that should make even the hardest to please reader smile.
Allowing my nerves to settle, I relax and take this moment to appreciate how far we’ve come. A deep friendship that morphed into lust, and now into love. Love that I never want to let go.
Down the steps of the courthouse I walked like a zombie, eyes bleary from an overflow of emotions. Once we’d reached the sidewalk, Justin, my rock, pulled me tightly into his arms, kissing away the wetness that continued to trail down my cheeks. “I love you so much. This is for us, baby. I didn’t think you’d agree if I gave you time to think it over. I want to marry you.”
That was all he said, and that was all I needed to hear. Everything clicked into place at that very moment. How does that saying go? The skies parted, and the angels sang from the heavens…or something along those lines. That’s how it felt. My anxiety faded into oblivion, and I threw my arms around the love of my life. Then, we proceeded to make out like teenagers in the middle of the day where anyone could see.
I loved the wedding/Vegas trip scenes. Justin is so protective of Asher, and he supports Asher through the emotional rollercoaster he rides as he fully accepts that Justin’s love for him is real. These two simply “fit” together as a couple.
If you’re not an M/M genre fan, it may blindside you a bit, but all in all, this is a very well-written story with a satisfying storyline, little angst, and lots of love and hope.
