Review:

Janie Crouch proves herself as an outstanding writer in this engrossing and suspenseful romantic novel.  The character development is some of the most realistic I’ve read, right down to the unexpected but entertaining humor when Jon’s buddies show up in town. The relationship between Sherry and Jon builds so naturally and their chemistry simmers slowly developing to a boil as the story evolves, especially considering that these two don’t start off on the best or most trusting terms. And the storyline? Crouch weaves and teases as the story builds, and an unsuspecting twist or two blindsides the reader. I pride myself on regularly figuring out the “who” in “whodunit” before it’s exposed, but I never saw this one coming, and the final confrontation scene with the rapist was well executed. Thrilled there was a HEA, but was almost disappointed for the story to end. Hope to read about Caroline and Zane in a future book.
